Lots of photos from xmas, we have been trying to keep our visitors busy and taking the time to have a look around ourselves. This is joe in one of the naturally hot lakes being 'cuddled' by a waterfall. It was fantastic to be in a steaming hot lake but have still have not managed to get rid of the smell of sulpher from our swimwear.

Here is Derrick overtaking Joe on the Luge - sure he was speeding!

Sam on stage learning the Haka. He was even asked to pose for a photograph with a Japanese lady.

Sam and Jess got a chance to hand feed the baby wallobies. Jess wanted to take one home.

Joe with a touch of wind!! This is all of us hunting for glow worms in the Karangahake gorge historic railway tunnel. It's a 1km tunnel lit by a few lights. We managed to spot lots of glow worms and step in lots of muddy puddles!
and finally Josie and Derrick's little plane just before take off back to Auckland. We have had a great time with our visitors and were sorry to see them go - although sam is happy to get his bed back!! Now looking for ideas to entertain the kids for a month in the summer holidays , we also have to incorporate 3 birthday celebrations over the next few weeks.
