This is tonights sky from our back garden. We had a really lovely sunset and hopefully if the shepherds are right we should have another lovely sunny day tomorrow.

Jess getting in on the action.

Here is Joe sweeping the loft- Martin is training him so he can go out and start chimney sweeping!!

We are considering putting Joe's bedroom up in the loft - much quieter for all of us.

Other news - Sam made student of the week - he was picked out of the whole school for his positive attitude and consistent progress in his learning.

We have had cross country this week. Jess came 4th in hers.
The boys ran up in the hills of Whaka, it was raining really hard and they had to run 3.5k. Lots of other local schools ran too. Sam came 10th out of 60 and Joe came 37th. They did really well, the weather was awful. The top 7 go to the next round for the county, that is Sam's aim for next year.

Football has been good, we have 5-1 win, 5-0 win and 2-2 draw since last time I posted. We are playing at home this weekend which is great as its just across the road so we dont have to go far.

We are planning a weekend at home so we can start to get organised and find a few things. Will put some photos of the house on as soon as we find the floor!
Love to you all

Today has been dress up as your favourite book character at school. Sam and his friend sam went as the fred and George Weasley twins from Harry Potter, (no hair dye required for our Sam!)

Joe went as Froda from Lord of the Rings. He couldnt smile because Froda doesnt!

Jess dressed as a cat, she had a furry tummy and a tail which you cant see.

Things have progressed quickly this week with the house, the certificate came through on tuesday so we now have the keys to all the doors rather than the builders entrance.
The drive went down on thursday, this takes a week to set enough for the cars to go on so we have delayed the moving in to next weekend. I went today to find cat prints in the cement so we have to get try and get these smoothed out later - martin will be matching the cats feet to the print size to see which one is going to get it!!

These are at the back of the house, we have had a retaining wall put in so we can have a more useable space, we just have to decide on the height of the fence now as we dont want to spoil any of the lovely view. We have already had a complaint to the council over the height of the fence - this was rejected straight away as we could legally put it up to the top of the posts. Some people have nothing better to do!!
Bathroom - just needs the mirror up

Toilet!
The carpets have gone down today and all of the cupboard/wadrobe shelves and hanging are now in.
I will take a few more pics tomorrow when we get back from the football - its forecast torrential rain and winds tomorrow, that should be fun as we are playing at Ferguson Park which is directly next to the sea!! Think our UK winter clothes and wellies will be required for tomorrows game.

Love to all
