No photos of the house this week as it still looks the same as last week!! We now have the pre wire and pre plumb and a few other internal things done. Next week its the windows and the bricks so we should be able to post some noticeable changes. This was the picture tonight as the sun went down and a storm was brewing.

The boys had the school triatholon the other day, swim, bike and run. The Millards did it again and Sam came 1st and Joe 2nd.

Thank you for all your concern and kind messages re the earthquake. We are a long way from Christchurch and on the north island so we were not affected but all our thoughts are with those poor people there.

As if by magic a roof!

 Sorry Uncle Michael but have forgotton to update the blog! The house isnt yet finished but we should have a tiled roof by the end of the week!

All is well here, Mum, Dad and Elaine arrived last wednesday. I think they are just about getting over their jet lag and are starting to get out and about a little. The weather is really hot and humid here at the moment so its a bit of a struggle to get anything done. We just about have enough energy to sit and have a cold drink!

Martin has his first job to do on the house tomorrow - he is painting the soffits before they go up on thursday.

Kids are busy getting ready for school camp in a couple of weeks and are both going to a friends bach at the beach this weekend.

Jess has just lost her other front tooth, so she is struggling with her sssss at the moment.

Will try and get some photos this weekend, not managed to get 'bob' snoring yet.

It has begun! This is Wednesday evening.

I think we now need to pick up the pace and start ordering kitchens and things.

The slab is down, the drains are in and the frames have been delivered, things are now making progress. The frame should be going up today so we should have some more photos later.

Martin just had to make sure they were putting the correct house up!

Jess had a lovely birthday party with all her friends. We planned crafts outside under the gazebo, but the weather had other ideas and just as we put all the glitter and things out the wind took the lot including the gazebo!! Jess cant say it wasnt an eventful party!

We then went to option B and went inside, the crafts carried on then followed by pass the parcel.

Then we got the boys to plan/run a party game, a very sucessful game of pin the tail on the 'unicorn'. (no i've never heard of it either), but everyone enjoyed it.

All good fun and jess had a lovely time. Thank you to everyone for their cards and gifts.
This is the last day of the summer holidays and the kids go back to school tomorrow, so a little bit of peace and quiet for me at last!

Mum, Dad and Elaine will be arriving next week so we are all looking forward to that. I will get that photo again of them all catching ZZZZZ's.
